Preamble
Unions NT is a not for profit organisation governed by a Council of directors drawn from the Affiliated Membership of Unions NT. The affairs of the Council are managed by an Executive Committee, whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in accordance with the constitution and rules of Unions NT.

“To work together with affiliates, union members, industry, employers and government to promote a united agenda and voice for the Northern Territory union movement and ensuring that Unions NT is accepted as leaders in achieving fair and common industrial, socials and community outcomes and ensuring workplace health and safety for the Northern Territory community.”

Strategies
- Supporting and serving affiliates by ensuring coordination of union activity
- Communicate with affiliates (formally and informally)
- Growing the union movement in terms of advocating its interests and the membership base across the Northern Territory
- Maximising local industry, economic, employment and training development opportunities
- Ensuring safe workplaces
- Create, encourage and promote ownership of the NTTLC
- Promote workers rights – organizing and collective bargaining, equity, safe workplaces, free from discrimination
CREATE A POSITIVE WORKPLACE AND INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

- Educate stakeholders and establish protocols for working with affiliates / community / government / business & government.

- Target particular groups – aged, apprenticeships, casual, disabled, human services, indigenous, labour hire, non-english speaking background, volunteers, women, youth and targeted industries
