Unions NT elects a Women’s Officer (Bronwyn Channon) and has a Women’s policy committee which guides activity and reform on issues impacting on women and work.
The NT Working Women’s Centre www.ntwwc.com.au was also established in the NT by Unions NT as a resource for working women and specific support.

Northern Territory Working Women's Centre
The NT Working Womens Centre provides a range of specialist services to working women across the Northern Territory and has a strong relationship and links to Unions NT who established the service.
Established through an agreement between the Northern Territory Trades and Labor Council and the Commonwealth government, the Northern Territory Working Women’s Centre was one of four centres established in the 1993/94 federal budget along with centres in New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland.
Working Womens Centre offices are located in Woods Street Darwin and in Alice Springs. The NTWWC is an independent and community based centre and is accessible to all working women and provides advice and outreach referral services and support on such matters as pay, working conditions, entitlements, enterprise bargaining, occupational health and safety, workers compensation, employment discrimination, bullying and harassment.
The Centre does not duplicate the functions of unions, government departments and other organizations but seeks to work closely and collaboratively with such bodies.
